This poem was done overnight...whew!(talagang rush)Thanks God I did it or else, my students will have no performance number in this afternoon's program..(haha..muntik na talaga)
N - U - T - R - I - S - Y - O - N
Kaya halina't sabay-sabay natin itong tikman.
Upang katawa'y palaging masigla.
I - Ikaw ba'y marunong ding mag-ehersisyo?
Y - Yaman itong maituturing.
Kaya kalusugan ay ating intindihin.
Kaya't tayo na, ating pagyamanin.
Tuwing Hulyo, ito'y ating alalahanin.
O - Oo nararapat din nating pakinggan.
Payo ng ating mga magulang.
Ingatan ang ating katawan.
Palagi natin itong aalagaan.
N - Ngayon na, Ngayon na, Ipagsigawan na!
Para sa katawang masigla,
At para sa bayang masagana.
Wastong nutrisyon ipatupad na!

A Tribute to Mam Zeny
This is a tribute to the person I look up to, Mam Zenaida Mallillin (our principal for 1 and a half years). She is not just humble but a good person inside and out. She's the one who always believed in everything that I do, and pushes my self confidence all the time. I would like to thank her for all the things she has done for me and for the school (CRACMES). This is for you Mam, I love you po!

Parable on Rash Judgement
It's because I had this habit of collecting inspirational quotes, articles and stories from newspapers, magazines and books that I read, I had this one in my bulk of collection. It is an article from an old newspaper, (in Father BEL R. SAN LUIS's column "Word Alive"). Read this, it's so inspiring!

A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of a big airport.
As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her
time. She also bought a packet of cookies.
She sat down in an armchair, in the VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in
peace. Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies lay, a man sat down in next
seat, opened his magazine and started reading.
When she took out the first cookie, the man took one also. She felt irritated but
said nothing. She just thought: "What a nerve! If I was in the mood I would punch
him for daring!" For each cookie she took, the man took one too. This was
infuriating her but she didn't want to cause a scene.
When only one cookie remained, she thought: "Ah...What this abusive man do
now?" Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one
now?" Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one
half. Ah! That was too much! She was much too angry now! She looked at the man
with dagger eyes and in a buff, took her book, her things and stormed to the boarding
place.
When she sat down in her seat, inside the plane, she looked into her purse to
take her eyeglasses, and, to her surprise, her packet of cookies was there untouched,
unopened! She felt so ashamed! She realized how wrong she was. She had forgotten
that her cookies were kept in her purse.
The man had divided his cookies with her, without feeling angered or bitter...
while she had been very angry. And now there was no chance to explain her self...
nor to apologize her rude behavior.

LESSON: Are we like that lady at times--quick to judge and attribute
wrong motives to other's action without first knowing the truth?
Be careful in judging others, imputting bad motives against others.
Rash judgement is forbidden by God's 8th Commandment: "You shall not
bear false witness against your neighbor." There are four things that you
cannot recover. The stone...after the throw! The word...after it is said! The
opportunity...after the loss! The time...after it's gone!

My Teacher Is my Hero
Last week as I was looking for a nice book at Booksale (Waltermart), I found this one entitled "My Teacher Is My Hero." I immediately picked it up and browsed the pages. It's a great book and it has lots of inspiring stories inside.
I will just share the Introduction written here, which I'm sure will inspire the teachers out there.
---
"Teachers come in all shapes, sizes, and specialties. A teacher isn't always someone who
earned a degree and shows up at school every day urging you to crack your books and work
hard to achieve the highest grades. A teacher can be a coach; a music, art, writing, or
photography instructor; a mentor; a beloved relative; a close personal friend; an acquaintance;
someone you meet on a journey; a shaman; or even a student who turns the tables. But all
teachers have one thing in common--they nurture the light they see shining brightly in others and
often give selflessly in order to do so.
The best teachers are fabulous characters--full of spitfire and vinegar--who love what they do
and convey enthusiasm for learning, respect for responsibility, and a certain joie de vivre. Most
have unusual conviction and a sense of moral imperative--they believe in your potential and will
do whatever it takes to unearth it and set it ablaze. The best teachers teach us indelible lessons
about life and how to live it. Unfortunately, even the best teachers may not receive the accolades
they deserve, at least at the time services are rendered. Often we don't recognize their real
contribution until many years later, when that one small voice continually resurfaces and rescues
and guides and inspires us--over and over and over."
"My Teacher Is My Hero"

---Though it wasn't Teachers Day today, I want this article to be a tribute to every teacher who serves as an inspiration to everyone. Just like the one I wrote here last October 2011, Teachers are Heroes. I want teachers to be pampered, loved and remembered sometimes.

Make your Life a Beautiful one!
APPRECIATE ALL THE THINGS IN LIFE.
Enjoy the things that come our way, may it be simple or big. Sometimes
those things that we take for granted are the ones that have a great
importance in our lives.
TAKE POSITIVE ATTITUDES.
If you're feeling depress, take time to pray, ask for God's guidance and you'll be okay. Take those positive attitudes and forget the negative ones, they might ruin your life. DON'T GIVE UP. BE STRONG. |
ENJOY LIFE. |
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. |
GIVE THANKS.
Always give thanks to the Lord for all the blessings He had given us, may it be small or big.
